With such gorgeous summer weather lately I haven't been very productive with any of the projects on my list, but of course the list keeps growing with my various outings.

This past Saturday I was on beautiful Whidbey Island and was fortunate to stop by the Mutiny Bay Antique Mall in Freeland during their open house. Maybe it was the cookie, cupcake, and two turtle candies that put me in a sugar coma while I wandered through the vendor vignettes, but I left with a funky 70's style Maxi dress and this oil painting of a pitcher from the 60's.

What can I say? I love oil paintings with a lot of texture, plus the colors are perfect for my living room, but the linen mat was not my favorite.

Sometime next year I hope to have my own blog-iversary and be giving away something as fun as this  Uptown Girl pattern by Carolina Patchworks and three charm packs of Dream On, which Crafty Jennifer if giving away to some lucky reader for her first blog-iversary.

My wall art experiment is finally done! Yea! Overall I'm pretty please with how this mix of old jar lids and painted wood turned out.

Last week I taped off and then painted the orange and blue lines of various sizes. Finally finishing it off by attaching the lids today.

After spending much time contemplating the best way to attach the lids I eventually decided to use the tried and true Aleene's tacky glue, which worked like a charm.

About Me
I'm Maren and I inherited the "project" gene. While this probably isn't a scientific term, I believe it is why I am constantly starting (and usually finishing) new projects. I focus most of my efforts on various crafts, sewing, art, home decor, recycled materials and anything else that peaks my curiosity.
